The IOSH Working Safely course is designed to provide learners with an understanding of how their actions in the workplace contribute to safety and health. In addition, it ensures that they clearly understand their safety and health responsibilities, and understand the basic principles of risk assessment.
The course includes the following modules:
- Introduction (importance of safety and personal responsibilities)
- Identifying common hazards (focuses on six broad hazard groups)
- Defining hazard and risk (focuses on risk assessment)
- Improving safety performance (ownership, inspections, safe systems, PPE)
- Assessment (Multiple choice exam and four hazard spotting exercises)
We use our experience to ensure that relevant examples are included, to ensure learners get the most from the training. Some clients select the option for us to include a practical session taking delegates into their workplace.
